Stop me being ill....!!
18th February 2007
I've spent the last two days being incredibly ill.....it's not fun anymore, I'm quite bored of it!! (And besides that, despite thowing up for the past 2 days, I haven't lost ANY weight!!! where's the justice!!?!?)
So - I had blood tests done this week to see how my liver was coping with the stress of dealing with the gallstones - and then I had 3 letters from Mr Hewin, my surgeon.
The first was to clarify what happened the week before, when I was forced to stay at Crowne Plaza GRH. Then to explain that the best way to stop it was to remove my gall bladder.
The next two letters were appointments, first for the pre op consultation and then the operation - both of which happen in the next two weeks!!!
So, by close of play on the 28th Feb, I should be free of gall bladder....! I won't be able to walk easily for a few days, and I won't be able to drive for a few weeks, but when all that is over, I should be pain free (from the gallstones, at least!!)
It's all happening so quickly now - but it means that I need to organise myself to get everything done while I can still drive...!!! All good fun....!
The wedding fair is pretty much organised, which is cool - just need to look forward to it now!!
Meanwhile, I will be having a couple of weeks off work to recuperate - but I am sure that I will be doing work at home, just so that I don't go bonkers!! (any more than I already am!)
